"Touch begins on the physical level, but it can go much deeper,

traversing the media of thoughts, feelings, and emotions"

Ayurvedic treatments are the crème de la crème of the massage world.

They offer many health benefits such as detoxification, reduced pain,

improved circulation, energy, stamina, and better sleep.

Ayurvedic body therapies differ from regular massage therapy.

Medicated oil blends are infused with Ayurvedic herbs. These are heated and used liberally to promote detoxification. At the right temperature, the oils enter through the skin and pores, bind to the Ama (toxins), and work to purify the body.

Depending on the treatment, marma points (similar to acupressure points) are cleared. These points can become stagnant through stress, poor diet, emotional pressure etc. Marma therapy moves and dislodges these toxins, allowing the energy channels to flow freely and balancing the chakras (energy centres).

The strokes used in Ayurvedic therapies increase circulation and lymphatic drainage, leaving you energised and rejuvenated while cleansing and detoxifying the system. All therapies are intended to be a blissful experience.

All bodywork is on pause for the moment as I focus on developing body and facial oils for the clinic. This link will take you to the magical Te Arai Wellness Collective in the meantime.
