Rarotonga

Yoga & Wellness Retreat

Wednesday September 19th - Sunday September 23rd 2018

A Spring Equinox Yoga Retreat  with an Ayurvedic flavour,

bringing balance to mind, body and soul.

A Life Changing Experience

Wake up to panoramic ocean views, unwind with a fragrant Ayurvedic cleansing drink, a morning yoga practice and guided meditation, followed by a dip in the ocean (or our pool) and a bountiful tropical breakfast. Your Retreat is a fully holistic experience involving nourishment, yoga and movement, mindfulness, breath and relaxation.

As you enjoy a little corner of paradise there will be plenty of time for you to indulge in peaceful solitude or immerse yourself in the many activities on offer in this tropical wonderland. The only decisions you will face will be whether to take that additional massage or instead go for a snorkel in the crystal clear bay. With no family or business to organise,  just blissfully focus on yourself as you restore your balance, relax your mind and rejuvenate your soul.

The Place

Magic Reef Bungalows is on the West Coast of beautiful Rarotonga, a quick flight from New Zealand or Australia. Your stand alone bungalow has views out over the Pacific, which you can enjoy from the privacy of your own balcony.  The bungalows each have a living area, mini kitchen and outdoor shower and bath, with access to a stunning salt pool and picture perfect white sand beach. Choose either twin share (4-poster King and Queen double bed), or indulge yourself in the divine experience of having a bungalow all to yourself. Watch the most spectacular sunsets unfold over the ocean from your verandah.

The Practice

Each day will include at least 2 yoga sessions, 1 meditation and 1 mindfulness practice. The yoga classes will be small enough to allow individual attention and allignment, with a focus on personal growth and expansion. Your yoga programme is a carefully planned journey and along with what you might expect, may include SUP yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra and pranayama.

The Wellbeing retreat is designed to restore energy and bring balance, you can expect to become calm and centred during your stay. Yoga and movement increases endorphins and reduces cognitive decline. Moving our bodies reduces stress hormones and makes us feel good, helping to reduce depression and anxiety. We believe yoga and movement are a cornerstone of health and here you will experience just that.

The Food

Our chef will prepare a rainbow of plant based food (with optional locally caught fish) sourced from fresh local produce. Begin your day with a cleansing Ayurvedic drink, and enjoy a beautiful breakfast, a generous lunch and a light supper. We will have a selection of freshly prepared and carefully planned Ayurvedic teas, each focusing on a different aspect of your wellbeing.

Eating with awareness is encouraged for optimal digestion. Mindfulness while eating is a powerful practice, not just to improve nutrient absorption but allowing us to slow down and remain present and focused. A healthy gut is vital for a healthy body and mind as we build a healthy body from the inside out.

The Extras

A tranquil tropical paradise, Rarotonga is the perfect destination to either dive into action or relax by the pool. Add a slice of happiness to your retreat with:

  • Cross Island Hike - the best hike in the South Pacific
